FocusDo Privacy Policy

FocusDo is a minimalist to-do and focus app developed by NOUS STUDIO LTD. We respect your privacy and have built it as a core design principle — we collect only the minimum data needed to deliver our core features and improve the app.

What We Never Do

FocusDo does not collect, store, or share your information for advertising, profiling, or cross-app tracking. Specifically:

No personal identifiers (name, email, phone number, etc.)
No advertising identifier (IDFA), and no tracking across other apps or websites
No location data
No analytics on your task titles, task content, or reminder content
No account registration required
No selling of your data, and no sharing with third parties for marketing

Only two kinds of data ever leave your device. Both are described below, under “Usage Analytics” and “Focus Mode Reminders”.

Data Storage

All data you create in FocusDo (including to-do items, focus records, and preferences) is stored locally on your device only.

If you have iCloud enabled on your device, your data will sync across your devices through Apple’s iCloud service. iCloud sync is managed and encrypted directly by Apple, and we have no access to any data stored in your iCloud. For more information, please refer to the Apple Privacy Policy.

Usage Analytics

To make the app better, FocusDo collects anonymous interaction analytics, used to understand how features are used and to improve the product.

These analytics contain no task titles or task content, no reminder content, and no name, email, advertising identifier (IDFA), or location data. They are not linked to your Apple ID or identity, and are never used for advertising or profiling. Analytics are processed on our behalf by Mixpanel.

In-App Purchases

FocusDo offers in-app purchases (FocusDo Pro). All transactions are processed directly by Apple through the App Store. We do not have access to any of your payment information.

Focus Mode Reminders

If you enable focus mode reminders, FocusDo sends limited session data (such as your current task name and notification token) to our server to deliver periodic reminder notifications during your focus session.

This data is transmitted over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection, used solely for delivering focus reminders, and automatically deleted within 24 hours. It is not used for analytics, advertising, or shared with any third party.

Data Retention

Focus session data — automatically deleted from our server within 24 hours after the session ends. When you stop a focus session, FocusDo immediately requests deletion of the session data.
Anonymous usage analytics — used only in aggregate for product trend analysis, and never linked to any identifying information.

Data Security

Your data is protected by Apple’s iOS platform security architecture, including app sandboxing, device encryption, and biometric authentication. All data transmitted over the network (including iCloud sync, push notifications, focus mode reminders, and usage analytics) uses encrypted connections.

Your Data Rights

You have full ownership of your data. You can at any time:

Delete any tasks or data within the app
Disable iCloud sync in your device settings
Disable focus mode reminders to prevent session data from being sent to our server
Uninstall the app to remove all local data
Contact us at the email below to request access to, or deletion of, your analytics data

Changes to This Policy

If we make significant changes to this policy, we will update this page with a new revision date.
